Results from a national survey show notable successes for Memorial, including undergraduate students’ overall satisfaction and a greater desire to attend Memorial again in comparison with students at other institutions across the country. Read more.

Brightspace course access for winter 2021
In response to Memorial’s announcement of a delayed start for the winter semester, CITL will be modifying the Brightspace start date of all courses to January 11, 2021.
CITL support during the holidays

ProctorU data breach

Screen recording software
Memorial has procured a limited number of Screencast-O-Matic licenses that will be made available to instructors who are preparing to teach in the fall semester. Learn more about this screen recording software.

A new video series is focusing on stories about teaching from individual educators, and their transition to remote instruction. Look for the series on our Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels.

Results of an institution-wide student survey on their access to technology for learning are now available.

We are offering a new classroom studio on the St. John’s campus, to provide instructors with on-campus video production in support of remote instruction.
Beta release of a Technology Guide for Teaching and Learning
In an effort to assist the university community with integrating learning technologies in courses, we have released a beta version of a new Technology Guide.

New tool for uploading self-recorded videos
A new Video Uploader tool has been added to the instructor Dashboard in Brightspace, providing a platform to host short self-recorded videos and an easy way to embed them into a course.

We have established a Remote Instruction Transition Team (RITT), available in person and remotely, to provide instructors with one-on-one support beginning Tuesday, March 17 at 12:30 p.m.

New "sandbox" sites in Brightspace have been made available to all instructors at Memorial University to experiment with tools for teaching remotely.
