Recording video lectures

There are several ways to record lectures and make them available to students online.

Some of these approaches are offered and supported by CITL. These include self-recording lectures using your own camera equipment and leveraging CITL’s publishing services*, as well as recording lectures using the Online Rooms virtual classroom tool.

Both of these methods are viable options that help ensure quality of the recordings and seamless integration into your Brightspace course site.

*If you choose to record your lecture using another means not supported by CITL, please note the quality may vary and support will not be available. Risks of using unsupported methods may include: poor quality streaming experience for students; students being required to download the file to view, which provides them with a copy of your intellectual property; as well as excessive data usage charges for students.

For assistance with using supported systems for recording your lectures, please contact CITL’s Support Centre.
