What is it?

Clipchamp is a user-friendly and AI-powered editing tool that allows users to create, edit, and record videos.

What is its purpose?

Clipchamp offers a range of features to create and enhance videos, such as trimming, cropping, auto-captions, video templates, and a stock library, including video footage and audio tracks. In addition, Clipchamp comes equipped with a built-in screen and camera recorder, providing users with a seamless and all-in-one solution for capturing and editing videos within the same platform.

How do I use it?

To create a free account, head over to the sign-up page, then choose to sign up with your Google account or with an email address and password that you set.

To create or edit your first video, check the Clipchamp training center. Moreover, the Clipchamp video editing blog offers many articles that can help you to use Clipchamp successfully.

Why would I use it?

  • Clipchamp allows users to create unlimited high-definition videos for free, without any watermarks.
  • It offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.
  • It is available on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and web browsers.
  • It offers various effects, transitions, templates, and royalty-free elements.
  • It automatically creates captions in over 140 languages.
  • The free plan provides most of the necessary features for basic users.

Usage considerations

- Some of the stock content requires a subscription. - Content backup functionality, the ability to create branded videos, and exporting 4K videos are exclusive to the paid version of Clipchamp. - Clipchamp falls short in terms of matching the extensive capabilities found in professional video software, such as Premiere Pro.
