What is it?

Gradient by Gradecam is a grading tool, designed to ease instructors' workload and speed up grading. It has auto-grading and text-recognition features, and summarizes student performance on various assignments, projects, and questions.

What is its purpose?

It is meant to help instructors speed up grading and works by scanning handwritten exams. It is also able to grade online exams. Instructors can create exam sheets right in the software, and then print them off for in-person exams and assessments. Any question that is not auto-graded by the software can easily be graded by the teacher using rubrics, but other assessment options are also available.

How do I use it?

Subscriptions have to be purchased for the school. Instructors and students have to log in to individual accounts using the website.

Why would I use it?

Use the software if you want to use time more efficiently and speed up the grading process.

Usage considerations

Instructors might want to access the free demo version of the software to see if it meets their needs.
