What is it?

Google Jamboard is a digital interactive whiteboard that allows its users to collaborate remotely or in-person in a shared space.

What is its purpose?

Jamboard allows its users to brainstorm and organize ideas by sorting the ideas by color, organizing them in different frames, and drawing lines to show relationships between concepts.

How do I use it?

The Jamboard app can be accessed via the App Launcher in Google Workspace on the web.

This software can also be downloaded from Google Play (for Android users) or App Store (for iOS users).

Users need to have their personal Google accounts to be able to use the tool.

It can also be used in browsers by accessing it through the Google Jamboard site. The browser app has the most limited functionality; however, it still lets users access powerful features. If a user is on the mobile or tablet app, he/she has access to Assistive Drawing features. He/she can have his/her handwritten text converted to typed text.

Why would I use it?

Jamboard allows instructors to collaborate with thier students in an open-discussion format. Students or instructors can sketch out ideas, problem-solve or draw collaboratively and synchronously using this tool.
