Brightspace Video Note feature allows instructors to record short videos using their webcam or upload videos directly to Brightspace. No additional software is required to use the webcam recording function.
What is its purpose?
The Brightspace Video Note feature allows videos to be created and hosted within Brightspace for streaming to students. Self-created videos can also be uploaded directly to Brightspace through this feature.
How do I use it?
Video Note can be used in these tools within Brightspace:
- Course mail
- Intelligent agents
- Feedback
- Content
- Discussions
- Grading (Assignments / Quizzes)
Why would I use it?
Videos can be attached as feedback to assessments and in communication tools within Brightspace to provide richer feedback and interaction for students.
Videos can also be created and inserted directly into the Content tool as an alternative content delivery mechanism.
Videos are currently limited to 30 minutes recording time per video and there is currently no storage limits.
