Course Content (Brightspace)
content deliveryWhat is it?
The Content tool is used to post and organize course material in Brightspace. Instructional content you post can include web documents, text documents, images and media files.
What is its purpose?
Instructors can organize how content is displayed and scheduled, to fulfill specific course objectives and learning expectations.
How do I use it?
All course sites within Brightspace can add course material using the Content tool. On the course home page, click Course Content to add course material. You are given options to create an Overview of your course as well as create modules for organizing text content and other files. Content administration options are provided to manage and upload course files as needed.
Usage considerations
Course is not ideal for providing large files such as videos. Videos should be uploaded to a streaming service, and embedded into a content page using an embed code. This could be done from a public system such as Youtube, or CITL's instructor self-service video hosting service.
