What is it?

MURAL is a virtual tool that helps to plan, design, brainstorm, and analyze ideas and create custom workflows for streamline decision-making operations across teams.

What is its purpose?

This tool is used for team collaboration on projects, sketch designs, as well  as to import photos, provide feedback on ideas, and distribute digital murals.

How do I use it?

  • You are required to create an account to access a mural. Support instructions will guide the users through the sign up/connection process.
  • MURAL has native apps for Windows 10, iOS, Mac OS, Android, Microsoft Teams, and Surface Hub.
  • MURAL supports integration with various third-party applications including Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, Jira, GitHub, Slack, Google Calendar, OneDrive, and The Noun Project.
  • MURAL is an HTML5 web application and works best with Google Chrome, but also supports Firefox, Edge, and Safari.

Why would I use it?

  • MURAL offers virtual whiteboards, which enables teams to visually brainstorm ideas, discuss operational challenges, and facilitate design thinking methods using smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
  • Users can use sticky notes/icons/shapes to add thoughts, ideas, feedback, and create/edit visual stories.

Usage considerations

MURAL for windows requires a minimum of 16gb RAM and the latest touch screen technology. For non-Windows devices, a device can be connected with a Windows 10 laptop using a HDMI and a USB cable.
