About the Awards
The President's Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Graduate and Postgraduate Supervision honour those individuals who, through their creative approaches and sustained commitment to students, have generated intellectual excitement, have fostered the development of students' skills and interest in their disciplines, and have contributed to a positive teaching and learning environment at Memorial University.
Call for Nominations
Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to nominate candidates for the 2022 President's Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Graduate Supervision.

President's Award for Distinguished Teaching
Nomination Deadline: Extended to March 18, 2022
Awarded in recognition of a faculty member's continued record of excellence in teaching at Memorial University for a minimum of 10 years based on outstanding achievement in teaching and engagement in educational leadership, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

President's Award for Outstanding Teaching (Faculty)
Nomination Deadline: Extended to March 18, 2022
Open to those who hold a full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty appointment at any campus of Memorial University for a minimum of five continuous years and have not more than 10 years overall teaching experience (includes full-time faculty appointments in the Faculty of Medicine and at the Marine Institute).

President's Award for Outstanding Teaching (Lecturers and Instructional Staff)
Nomination Deadline: Extended to March 18, 2022
Open to those with a contractually limited appointment and instructional staff members at any campus of Memorial University who have taught a minimum of 10 course sections.

President's Award for Outstanding Graduate and Postgraduate Supervision
Nomination Deadline: Extended to March 18, 2022
Awarded to a graduate or postgraduate supervisor who demonstrates exemplary supervisory behaviours and serves as an outstanding role model for other supervisors to emulate. Nominations for this award can be made by graduate and postgraduate students.
